Flavored Water Bar...
It's incredible how much better water tastes in fun glasses with colorful Ikea straws.
I recently became a big fan of getting my water in. To the point, I was even downloading apps to keep track of my daily water intake.
Since it has been so hot around here, we came up with a fun way to get the kids involved in drinking their water for the day by using real food to create a water bar. Ok so it's not quite Starbucks to our crew, but when the temps reach 90 or above the water bar is the place to be.
Create your water bar with real food! Fruit juice is so last year and loaded with sugar besides our crew can't take sugar in mass quantity.
But let's face it most of the time unless your dehydrated water is just plain dull.
But water done right can be delightfully fun.
Bust out the mason jars, and colorful straws, to get started.
Set out some ingredients and let the kids be water baristas!
How Do You like them LemApples Water:
- Cut up apples
- Lemon slices
Let it transform into tasty goodness but easy on the lemon, especially for little ones.
Mock Mojitos Madness Water:
- Fresh Mint
- My youngest thinks this one is "spicy."
Cue to the Orange Flavored Water:
- Cucumber slices
- Orange slices
This one is probably one of our favorites. It's just plain fresh and yummy!
So flavored water may not be as exciting as your favorite coffee house, but it is a great way to get your daily H2O. Drink up!
